We are a Data Controller of your information.
Honesty Box Payments Ltd. legal basis for collecting, and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the personal information we collect, and the specific context in which we collect the information:
- Honesty Box needs to perform a contract with you
- You have given Honesty Box permission to do so
- Processing your personal information is in Honesty Box's legitimate interests
- Honesty Box needs to comply with the law
Honesty Box will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. If you wish to be informed what personal information we hold about you, and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.

Payment Information
Information submitted to Honesty Box in the course of making a payment is transmitted directly to our payment processor, Stripe. It never resides on any of our servers, and we are not given access to it at any point.
Registration / Accounts
Creating an account with Honesty Box is optional. Payments can be made without creating an account, in which case, we do not hold any personal information about you at all.
If you choose to create an account, we will only ask for an email address. Your email address serves as your login name, and is used by us to send you payment receipts, and important updates.
Creating an account also allows you to save payment details for future use. Saved card details are held by our payment processor, Stripe. We have access to redacted card information (last 4 digits) for the purpose of allowing you to select a saved card, but we do not at any point have access to the full card details.
If you do not wish us to continue holding this information about you, you can select the 'Forget Me' option at any time from the profile screen. Once you select this option, we will delete all information that we hold about you, and your account will no longer exist. You will still be able to make anonymous payments, as though you had never had an account.
Log Files
Honesty Box follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files can include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks.
These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Local Storage
Like any other website, Honesty Box uses 'cookies' and 'local storage' in your browser. These cookies and storage are used to store information including login information, and visitors' preferences. The information is used to optimise the users' experience by saving login sessions between visits, and recording acceptance of our cookie policy.

Third Party Privacy Policies
Our payment processor Stripe uses technologies like cookies, to enable card payments and to track potentially fraudulent activities.
Note that Honesty Box has no access to, nor control over, the cookies that are used by Stripe. Thus, we are advising you to consult their privacy policy for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.
Children's Information
As part of our safeguarding responsibilities, we encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their children's online activities.
Honesty Box does not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately, so that we can take action to remove such information from our records.
Online Privacy Policy Only
Our Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for users of our website with regards to the information that they share with Honesty Box. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
